MATH-GAME!

Looks tricky. Besides the trophies, is there any other way to see who's the best player in the world? Xbox 360 has the Gamerscore-system, does the Ps3 have anything similar?

Not that I'm aware of. I suppose it stops achievement/trophy-whoring. Some games, like PAIN, do have a high-scores list, but that was there before the trophy update.

You can check other people's trophy collection but not very many people have them. Or at least few people on my friend's list. Which numbers five people. Should grow now that I have littlebigplanet (which has so far lived up to all the hype ^_^).

I see. I have to admit that I've become sort of addicted to achievemnts. Once I've completed the game, I usually start over and try to collect as much achievements as possible, even though I really don't like it!

I agree with your point about going through games to get achievements. I'm doing that with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. The problem is that there's about 50 achievements, and about half of them are hidden so I don't know how to unlock them Finally got a trophy for PAIN though, thanks to a new expansion pack about hollywood. Complete with David Hasselhoff.

Yeah, that's really annoying. I only have one game where I have all the achievements unlocked. I was really close to get all of Halo 3's achievements, but then they released an update that had 15 new achievements. I was pretty annoyed. I'm currently trying to get achievements in Saints Row 2.

It'll be good when playstation home is released because then I can store all the trophies in the virtual trophy room. And handily enough I've managed to get into the beta, W00T! There's hardly anything to do though yet, because it's still unfinished.

Also, how's the new-microsoft-avatar-feature-that-looks-suspiciously-like-nintendo-miis? Crazy video game companies, always ripping off each other (Microsoft ripping off Sony with a new home-like service apparently coming to the 360 and a blu-ray player add-on, Sony ripping off Microsoft with trophies, Nintendo ripping off both with online stores and 'wiiware', Microsoft ripping off Nintendo with the mii/avatar thing, Sony ripping off Nintendo with the SIXAXIS controller...)

That home-thing looks pretty cool. Altough Microsoft totally ripped it off in this new avatar-system. It looks almost exactly like the Avatar Party-mode!

And if you ask me, this new NXE-update was totally useless and stupid. Now the Xbox 360 interface looks like it's made for 12-year-olds! There's really nothing usefull in the NXE except the video rental and the iPod-update. If it was up to me, I'd change my interface back to the old one. Sadly, that's impossible if I want to play in XBL ever again...

Speaking of rip-offs, Microsoft has released 'lips' for the 360. This isn't even a rip-off; it's more like an illegal port of singstar for the 360. Damnit Microsoft!

Interesting. There's been rumours about Sony and Apple working together. The PS3/PSP and iPod both use the same video format (mp4), and there's various bits of evidence, like this. Yet they're also working with microsoft... eh?

Yep. According to Alexa, Yahoo has a higher traffic ratng than Google, making it the biggest webiste in the whole Internet. That's a pretty hardcore title.
